Started the conversion of my interior to Honey today. Painted the dash pad that was originally black and the visors with SEM Camel color paint. Its as close of a match as I could find and hold up pretty well. The dash pad has cracks in the top so Even though overall it was in good condition I didnt feel any guilt repainting it.
The twist? Instead of taping off the lettering and painting it white. I colored the AMC logo with good old patriotic red white and blue. (The vinyl paint brand literally said patriotic on it) Not quiet a match to AMC blue but hey whatever. It was a real PITA as I was not patient enough and I kept messing up and having to touch up the paint but finally got it looking decent. Up close you can tell it was a rattle can job but I think from a first look persective it turned out real well. What do you guys and gals think?
