(poor thing needs a little bit of time and a few kind words)
I am about to pull the trigger on a new SS brake line set. What I am needing to know is what can hopefully prevent any woes for myself by utilizing some others trying times...
My 1980 CJ5 is bone stock. Front disk, rear drum, no power brakes, and will not have a lift kit. I'm running 31X10.50's on chrome/rust rims and this vehicle will see far more hiway miles than trail miles. I'm expecting around 2500-3000 miles per year on this Jeep.
I have already replaced the rear wheel cylinders and all those parts in the drum brakes as they were shot. The front brakes were all that worked when the Jeep came to me and the pads are fair on them, (75-80% looking at new pads in NAPA). I think they were only on for a year or so.
I will be needing everything from the pedal to the pads and was hoping to do a one-stop-shopping experience. Money is always a concern, but I know you get what you pay for, and brakes are not where I save money!!!!
Who can I call (company name/phone number) that can asist me with this purchase so it all fits and functions? I already know that it is best to go with all SS parts where applicable, but thats about it. I have been hearing stay away from Omix/Ada; but who do I use?
Thanks for the help in advance,
Danny W.
