Have you guys heard of a Roxor? They are made my Mahindra (they also make tractors) The Durango Harley Davidson shop is selling these. They look just like a jeep because Mahindra (an Indian company) has had the rights to make Jeeps since WWII. These are made in the USA.

There 2 drawbacks:
1. They are not street legal.
2. They have a top speed of 45 MPH
The top speed is because of a governor not redline so it shouldn't be too hard to disable that limitation.

It has a 4 cylinder turbo engine.
Here in town they are selling for $14,900 for the base model.

I don't think this will ever be street legal. It'll never pass the crash testing.

The sales kid I talked to at the Kawy dealership (assuming he knows what he's talking about) said that it was a test market deal. Street legality would be a possibility down the road depending on how it sells as is.

Seems to me the side by side market is pretty competitive as it is...tractor and motorcycle manufacturers both involved. Not to mention the bells and whistles available on so many of the offerings of both. This thing is pretty plain, and it's not all that cheap, relatively speaking.

It's a neat concept, but bigger than I thought. When I first saw it, I though it would be a nice way to get the CJ offroading experience in a SXS package; and access to ATV/SXS parks which are far more common around here than a 4x4 park. But it's about the size of a CJ7 , with an even longer wheelbase (96"), so it's too big for an ATV park that doesn't allow Jeeps. I just don't really see any benefit without it being street legal.

Here's a link to the spec sheet:
