Wow - what a trip... I just want to take a moment to thank all who attended for patients with me running people through for the first time, and all the help with spotting each other through some of the rougher areas.

To summarize, this great group put up with getting lost for a bit (twice) on the granite slabs (stupid reflectors were hiding...) long days of rough wheeling, the worst wind I think CA has ever seen (I thought we were going to get blown off the dam) and 2 days of not knowing if our tow rigs / campers were going to still be there when we got back from a fire that started as we went in Tuesday. Very interesting trip. I learned quite a bit about how to be a better host and plan a bit better as well!

So, again, just wanted to say thank you to all who attended and pushed through. Thank you as well for being so quick with the strap while I was looking at the sky! lol And - we FINALLY found that dirt road I remembered... better late than never... :D

Now - let the photos and stories be shown! Most are getting back from MOAB soon and will need a little R&R - I'll post a few teasers, but I didn't get too many chances to take photos or videos - was looking for the next reflector and that dang dirt road!

Cheers!

Great pictures and looking forward to more pictures and all reports. Glad everyone made it out !

This was an absolutely fantastic trip to the Rubicon. Jr and his family (Oakie and Cam) made this trail run special with their kindness and generosity. They cooked everyone dinner the first night in camp (very tasty), Jr also drove an hour to town and back to make sure everyone had fuel and ice.

I really enjoyed entering the trail from the original Wentworth entrance. The trail was pretty much like I thought it would be flat out excellent with non-stop obstacles. I arrived home early this morning so I'm sure I'll post more as this thread rolls along.
A big thanks to Jr, Oakie, Cam, OO7, and Bill D!

Would like to get to ride with you sometime, If you let me.

Absolutely, save the date, arriving in Moab April 25, departing May 2 2021 for 6 days of wheeling. PM me your info and I'll add you to the email list.

Awesome pics Posi! I don't have as many but have some along with most videos going through the squeeze rock tree area. Hopefully Snooby posts photos of his step/sliders! Amazing custom fab job compliments of the Rubicon lol :D

I'll post some more soon including some drone footage (if I used it right) from camp before trip.

Great sound effects !

Here's a few from before the official ride started - My brother and I ran a shakedown as I hadn't wheeled yet on my new 4" lift springs. Where we camped, the trail runs back through the mountains and meets up on a rough road right at the old Rubicon entrance. This is how trailer queens (non street legal) rigs get on the Rubicon from the Airport Flats campground without needing the trailers.

First - My Wife's Handiwork on making some bright signs for people who were going to need to find the camp.

Our next outing was when Old Jeep Lady and Mr I Play Bass made it in a few days early to hang out before the ride and get settled. We again did the same trip into the woods along the road bypass trail - why take a 10 min blacktop drive when you can take a hour long dirt trail ride??

There is a "new" bridge here (been a few years now) that stops vehicles from releasing sediments into the water shed. Also removes a particularly fun twist turn and river crossing...

I managed to rock hop out to get some photos from down below...

Then It happened and these guys were laughing...

- notice the dark line on my shirt? We tested the magnet on the back of my phone, stuck it to the bridge and used the timer...
