I got my old cj running today. Hasnt run in ten years and two previous owners. The last guy put a Transfer Case in it and housed the jeep and never drove it.
Sure felt good hearing the old AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l purring.
Everything I touch on the engine bay is hacked together. Wire nuts on the alternator, speaker wire on the electric fuel pump. Not sure why the guy put that on. Vacuum lines plugged with old spark plugs.
Foot long zip ties hanging everywhere lol.

I cant get pics to load on photo bucket for some reason.

Finally got a pic up, this is how it looked when I bought her. The top is gone and it has a new windshield frame and the cowl is in gray primer. Also has a hardtop now.

Good to hear you got her purring... Sounds like a lot of tlc to come on the engine

:chug:

More craziness,
IM not 100% sure I have the correct alternator. The top bracket is missing and pretty sure it has the wrong belt on it. Notice in the pic the rear side marker lights are on the front and vise versa haha.
