OK so the PO of my 79 CJ7 did a "Rustoleum Rebuild" and spray bombed the entire undercarriage and underside of the tub. Before I pull out the wrenches I would like to remove as much of the paint as I can.
I need to pull the Transfer Case and tranny to have them gone through and while they are out I plan on trailering it to the local car wash and giving it the blastola.
Does anybody know of a paint remover or uber strong soap I can spray on the undercarriage/tub prior to the car wash blast.
I thought about mixing up a strong solution of TSP and shooting it from the garden sprayer.
I am looking for something that will not destroy the rubber, my skin or my eyes.
Ideas?

i use the spray can of engine cleaner, let it set over night. get rid of dirt and grease and some paint may come with it. For things not still attached I have used oven cleaner. This is really nasty stuff, a stiff breeze is just barely enough ventilation. Goggles and chemical respirator strongly advised.

Painting is what I do there are all kinds of Eco friendly strippers out there that u can brush on lot sit then wash off but as soon as u hit it with a power washer it will start the rust take a ride to your local sherwin Williams
