I just ordered a rear fold/tumble seat for my CJ5 . But, there are no sort of mounts under the seat. I don't particularly want to have it just sit on the floor. Do they make brackets or mounts to get it up even if it is just a couple of inches?

thanks

JJ

I see the fold and tumble brackets. They seem to be the brackets you use to roll the seat forward, but I want something that just sets the seat up off the tub.

I tried posting a link, but obviously can't figure it out. YAY, go me

i couldn't find any new rear seat brackets maybe your seat will come with them. if you want to raise it up some make you some mounts out of steel not wood. and i wouldn't raise it too far up you don't want your passengers head above the roll bar or even close to it really. the factory fold and tumble mounts raise the seat somewhere around an 1"

They are the brackets used to fold it forward. They also lift it about 2 in. off the floor. Sorry more the morning reading Fo-pah! :D

If you ordered a standard fold and tumble rear seat it should have the tabs on the bottom of it that attach to the factory tumble brackets. They are not expensive and are designed to put the seat at the factory height which is about 4 or 5 inches in the front. On the back of the new fold and tumble seats, im not sure if they come with the legs or not. They are just threaded rod that screws into the bottom of the seat. They have flat pieces welded to the bottom, i use crutch tips for pads.
