Searched but didn't see anything on this.
Anyone ever ship your Jeep to Moab and back? Few of us in our club are thinking of shipping or Jeeps (6 or 8 rigs) out to Moab for a week of wheeling and shipping them back home via Truck. Then we could fly out, saving ourselves 4 or 5 days total travel time.

Anyone ever done this?

Lots of people have done it..But not me, as I can't even afford to work on mine, much less haul it anywhere fun right now!

6 or 8 trucks will be good on a pair of Maxi sets (thats a 40 ft and a 20 ft trailer behind). Find a couple drivers that haul hay/lumber or something that will be dead-heading back to the West to take them along. Only hard part is coordinating the trucks and the timing to get back.
Other option is to call 1-800-tow-trucks or something similar and have them take them out for ya. (yes that is a real number and a real big company).
Or get on a site like uShip - The Online Shipping Marketplace - Ship Freight, Furniture, Vehicles or Moves and have drivers bid on hauling the lot out and back for ya. Might get a discount if the driver can tag along for the off-road trips.

As mylittlecj5 said there are trucking companies out there that do this. Our club checked into it a couple years ago (we never did it though) and the prices they got was cheaper than the gas to tow them all out there.
