about time!! I can show this off and start on the next thing.

just finished the front "sport bar addition" I think it looks almost like it belongs there.

If I had a good idea, this was it. A lot easier to fit a squared end to the mount rather than cutting a miter on the end of the tube and trying to line that up. also would have been a real chalange to make a bolt on connection at this point.

this worked well, I discovered that if I ran the corner tube back straight to the existing bar it would be in the way of my favorite head. you will also notice that it is a bit more difficult to fit to an oblong tube. may leave this as is or fill with seam sealer and paint it , just to keep rain and spiders out of the joint.

the one in the center fit pretty well.

with this going asross the dash I don't think I need to put the "Oh Lord" grab bar back in. looks like a great place to hang the cup holder as well.:D

Wow, I like it. Was this a kit or did you fab the whole thing? And if a kit, can you post the link of where you got it. This is one thing I want to do with my jeep to include a kids cage in the rear also. But...it would have to fit under a hard top due to our winters. Yours looks like it would.

I would like to hear about this as well

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

This is, I am afraid, an IO original.

Looks good, now you need to test it.:D

I did, I can grab it just about anyplace and lift my self into the seat. works great!!:D

That's what they really work great at.
I mounted my CB to mine also.:D

I understand that is a bit rough on the fingers.

Thats a nice design IO, That "Head clearance" is great. Just don't grab it if you go over.

Nice. :chug:

OK so help motivate me. (Please)

We need details. Tube OD? Wall?

Fastening joint to OEM bar. I don't want to weld it either. Nice.

Dash mount details?

Bend angles?

Lengths?

I've got the materials in the garage but just can't take the plunge. :D

Thanks

73CJ, do you have a bender? We may have to talk.

Very nice. It looks like the cj came with it. Impressive :notworthy:

I put gussets at the joints too. I got it tacked together then took it out to weld it up.
