Silly transmission/clutch question of the day

I have an 86 CJ7 with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l 6 cylinder and 4 speed Transmission . What type of Transmission and clutch fluid is recommended and where do I check and add if necessary? Thanks

Regular old dot3 brake fluid goes in the clutch master cylinder, and depends on what 4 speed you have, it should be a T-176 , but could be a T-4 .

When all else fails call the guy you bought the jeep from. Mechanical clutch and check/add Transmission fliuid at the overflow/drain plugs on side of Transmission . Thanks.
