ON THE HUNT AGAIN
I just ordered Rampage Acoustic Brief Top for 76-91 Jeep CJ & Wrangler
from www.windrockoffroad.com yesterday evening. Got confirmation of the order this morning, from a rep. and not a computer. :)

"This unique design of the Acoustic Brief Bikini Top drastically reduces road noise within the cab of your Jeep. We have lined each Acoustic piece with a tightly woven padded acoustic insert that absorbs outdoor noise to allow for a pleasant driving experience."

I'll post up how long it took to get here, it's arrival condition, what all is included, parts, pieces, instructions, etc.

Then post up a review of the install, and the fit and finish.
I'll toss up some pic's and I'll do an ongoing review of how it holds up.

Well it arrived and would fit perfect if my roll bar was about 6 inches further back.
So It looks like its a CJ7 or wrangler top not CJ5 as I was told.
Looks like it's gonna be a Best top for me, bummer cause it's really nice and the padded roof is about 1" thick.

How does that one attach in the rear? To footman loops or the the rollbar?

Bikinis are ok but i prefer the G sting (just the roll bar)

What are you doing with it? Just sending it back?

It uses 5 attachment points, one center to teh footman loop, 2 on each side of that which use a buckle and go around the roll bar and 2 on the sides of that which hook to the roll bars going down and back.

I'm sending it back and getting a best top.

Do you think it's long enough for a Scrambler?

friend of mine has a YJ and has one of these tops. They are pretty neat, sagged a bit when they were washing the jeep, mainly because of the weight of the collecting water on it.

I like the look of them tho!

Well sent the old one back and got my Best top, it's nice but not nearly as nice as the one I sent back. Also noticed bestop isn't as well built as it used to be, the stitching is minimal and not well sewn. I'm actually shocked by this. We'll see how it holds up, I filled out the warrenty card and will keep it handy.
