spare tire carrier

i am about to replace all tires and rims. currently have 4 35's on after market rims and a 31x10 on the original rim for the spare. if i upgrade the spare rim and tire, it wont fit on the rear carrier because of the size. do i have to install a new carrier or does anyone make a spacer or adapter that will allow the larger spare to fit? thanks to all of you help in advance.

stock carrier i think. Swings open with the hinges on the right.

There is an adapter available from Quadratec. The problem is the oversized wheel will put alot of strees on your gate. Have you looked at a tire swing bumper?

I haven't looked at any options other than possibly a space or extended. That's why i love this group. I knew the weight would affect it, but was unsure of how much? Is my carrier out of the question for a 35"?

Id say yes. If you cant build your own start saving money now. Decent after market ones arent cheap.

Yeah the stock carrier will tear the body with a 35, the PO of my old jeep did with a 33x14.50

after research and looking at up coming engagements, building a carrier frok scratch will be next to impossible. i am going to suck it up and spend the money to up grade my stock carrier. i will be putting a 35" tire on the spare. any suggestions for the best type or brand. i have looked at one that will slide into the 2" hitch. , but it doesnt look right. Help?

If you cant build your own start saving money now. Decent after market ones arent cheap.

After 6 years of hauling aroung a 33" tire I'm still happy with my Warn.
Lots of people make bumpes with spare mounts but none of them are cheap. Think $500 plus.

does the warn bumper and carrier come as a package or 2 different parts? I have seen the bumper online and it says "accepts Warn tire carrier". Issume it comes in 2 seperate parts?
