Let me see how you have your speakers mounted in your jeep. (no pictures of exhaust please :))

I always kinda liked this guys...

But you can see quite a bit of stuff if you type "speaker" into the search box above.

I just wedge my 6x9 box between my read seatback and the roll cage bar. They stay pretty well.

You can see the pass one sticking in there in this pic.

so far some good ideas but I don't wanna get rid of any of my 50mm ammo boxes for speakers. They are full of ammo!

What about wakeboard speakers? I am posting from my phone so I cannot post an example.

wakeboard speakers are amazingly expensive.:eek:

Are there cheaper options.? Not all wakeboard speaker can be that expensive.

The wakeboard speakers look like a good options.

From my first experience with my '77 CJ5 I had back in the day, the spare tire mount being bolted to the sheet metal back wall of the tub was warping, cracking and breaking welds of that back panel. So, since I had no use for a back seat I built a lock box that bolted to the floor in its place. It was butted up against the back wall of the tub and I bolted the spare tire mount through to the locker box. This box also made it great for tool storage and later I mounted a pair of 3 way 6x9 speakers and the volume of the box made for excellent bass response in a time that bass enhancement was at that time unheard of by these means.
When I got my '78 I did the same thing;

I like the look of those, how do they sound? Is the price per speaker or pair, and is there a good method for keeping them from walking away?

I really like the looks of the wake speakers but does anyone have any idea how big of pipe its made to fit?

I bought a set of outdoor box speakers like these:
Amazon.com: PYLE PLMR24 3.5-Inch 200 Watt 3-Way Weather Proof Mini Box Speaker System (White) (Pair): Car Electronics; ditched the mounting brackets; put some heavy duty velcro on the wheel wells and stuck them down. That way, if I'm concerned about theft, I can pull them off and lock them up in my storage box. Another added benefit is being able to move them whenever we're at a campsite so we can "aim" the sound without having to blast the campground. :punk:
