If I get a blank dash in stainless, what are the problems of drilling with hole saws? I need a 5.5 and 4 2 and something inch holes drilled. It has pull knobs and wiper light holes but I am going aftermarket on gauges. Will a standard hole saw cut through this?

Sounds like a real pain in the ***. The little rectangle holes for the lights above all the switches will be the worst.

No, it's got the squares for the heater lights, cut outs for cables, steering column and light and wiper. Just no gauge or speaker or glove

Well then that doesn't sound to bad. You can buy all size hole saw bits for metal.

stainless is incredibly tough and burns drill bits and hole saws. It will go through saber saw blades as fast as you can put them in. If you want stainless find one that is as close as possible to what you want from the get go. Oil will keep your dull bit cool but stainless requires friction to cut. When I cut stainless sheet metal I use my wood cutting band saw on high speed with the blade backwards, the friction does the cutting and because the teeth are up you don't worry about the blade braking. I would pass on this project if I were you.
