steering box.
Yes, they sell torx sockets. Not a big use for them but when you need one, you'll be glad you have it. I have 'hammered' a 12pt impact inch or metric socket over a torx head bolt in an emergency before, not something I would recommend. :D

Do yourself a favor and after you remove one of those damn things, toss it out and replace it with a good grade 8 bolt.

I will. Anybody know the size? E- what? Cant take them out. Not really into buying a set if I dont have to.

Honestly? I did the smae thing CJ has done. I hammered a 12 pt metric socket on the head of it, and put a little torch heat to it. Took a little while, but it popped out without too much trouble.

I realized the other box I have to put in has 2 more of them. Its going to sears with my girlfriend Vicki tomorrow for a test fit. ;)

I wnet o to Auto Zone and for about under $30.00 you should be able to find a set of Torx. get em and keep em, you'll find you might need one some day in the future.

I tossed every damn one of em when I did my frame off! SOB Torx heads!!!!!

Lol. I got a small set for $20. Once I get a CJ8 , I'll have that and my CJ5 and will only have to purge them of the torx bolts. Then I'll sell mine on line. :D
