Sticky lifter
Hi all,
I think I've got a sticky lifter on one of my valves. I've got a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I6 and for the first few minutes of driving when the engine is cold, I get a pronounced clicking that follows the rpm range of the engine. After a few, it stops and the engine sounds like a sewing machine again, which is to say, good.
Anything I can do about it? I tossed a half can of sea foam in to the crank case. I am thinking of upgrading to synthetic oil this weekend. Think that will help?
Thanks!
Tom
