I just got back from trying to help my dad remove the hardtop from his 2000 Wrangler. After disconnecting the wiring, taking out the bolts, and unfastening the windshield clips, per the owner's manual, WE COULD NOT BUDGE THE HARDTOP. He's had the Jeep for around six years. To our knowledge, the top has never been removed. I have a theory, and was wondering if some if you all could help me out.

I think that in the eleven years since it was built, that the rubber seal might have adhered itself to the Jeep body and the hardtop. Basically becoming like a glue and now it's stuck. Any ideas out there?
