All of the following are in Montana, most are in the Tobacco Root Mountains but also including a trip to Dempsey Creek in the Flint Creek Range and a trip to the East Boulder Plateau in the Beartooth Mountains.

We started the summer a bit late due to the poor health of our senior canine. Leggat Creek in the Tobacco Root Mountains was a day hike. My wife and I hit this area a few years back and we tried again last year but didn't get to the upper bowl due to a party member coming off ACL surgery and deciding to turn back. This trip we spent more time exploring a lot of upper basin prospects.

Our second outing was the "4th" pilgrimage to North Meadow Creek also in the Roots. 2019 was a heavy snow year and we didn't get to most of the places we wanted to hike too off the end of the Jeep trail on this trip.

Our third trip was to Brannan Lakes in the upper reaches of the South Boulder River (Tobacco Roots) in the third week of July. This is another backpack trip at the end of a Jeep trail. The flora was just outstanding. A carpet of flowers.

The last trip of July was another day hike to an un-named pond off the Baldwin Parks trail above Sure Shot Lakes in the Tobacco Roots. A couple miles of trail followed by a couple more rather invigorating off trail miles before hitting the road and then another 1.5 miles back to the Jeep.

Accompanying my friend for an adventure, my cousin is not yet done on installing the Hypertech Performance Tuner and Hankook Dynapro AT2. Hoping that it will be worth it.
