My sun visors in my 79 are blue, and I need them black. Right now they seem to be the Levis denim blue, but it almost feels like a vinyl. then it feels like cloth. Anybody know? Whats the best way to change them to black? They are in great shape, and I hate to buy new ones..Thanks

SEM vinyl paint works great, BUT blue is somewhat rare. I would sell your blue ones and buy some black ones, as black visors are VERY common.

Thanks for your help. I did'nt know they were rare, and I will consider trying to trade or sell them.

in my opinion jeep windshields are short to start with and if your not running a roof visors are pointless

remove them clean as much rust as you can from behind were they were even if its just on the edge of the metal add some kind of inhibitor plug the holes and discard visors all together in your choice of ways

I would keep them myself. A original cj is worth more. At least hold on to them
