Swap AMC Eagle PS into a CJ

- '76 CJ5 with an '88 258 from a YJ.
AMC20, D30, D20, T150.
I found a relatively low miles AMC Eagle at a u-pull yard. It has a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and power steering. Obviously the bracket and therefore the pump will fit my CJ, but I couldn't find any info about steering rate (fixed, variable, fast slow etc).
I'm hoping I can grab all of it at one shot, but I don't want to end up with ridiculously fast steering. I don't think it can get any slower than a stock manual CJ.
Are adapters available for the input shaft (bell coupler?) to mate the '88 box to my '76 column?
