trying to take the sway bar links off my 84 CJ7 and cannot get the top link off. Is this just a threaded pin/bolt that should be able to be driven out (towards tire)? I have beat on it, and tried a pickle fork but it will not give an inch.

That bolt & the bar are both tapered where they connect each other , that with a little rust and corrosion for a few years will lock itself together.If you can take the bar totally off where you can get it on a solid surface it makes removal a little easier...........or some heat in that area might help, don't screw up the threaded portion. When you put it back together use some anti-seeze.
