Misc. Sweet November Rain

We had a cool front come thru yesterday! Yea! It's a balmy (for Central Florida) 58 deg. right now.

The big thing is we also got over 3 inches of rain in 24 hours. This would flood out most areas but for us it is no problem. Does your area handle rain this well?

Back in 1995 we got 18 inches in 6 hours, they call it the training effect, not a very large area but the clouds build up in the same area over and over and it just keeps raining in the same general area. We were lucky and did not flood but there were some people that did. Back in 1978 there was another freak storm like that only about 8 miles away. Luckily we have one of the largest water drainage systems in the world here, otherwise we would have some real problems here. So 3 inches here is not a problem unless it happens in 15 minutes. May is the time of year we have troubles here.
