Hi guys. I've replaced my shift boot twice with tears developing both times. I'd rather not use the same replacement again. Have any of you had success using another boot that screws right in? If so, please share! Thanks.

I replaced some of my shift boots with aftermarket boots. Summit Racing has all kinds of boots. I found some that worked for me by measuring the size. I still had to drill a few holes.

Do you have a body lift? Since that will allow more movement of the boot, putting more load on it, something to consider. The suggestion of Summit Racing sounds like they may provide a number of options, might want to buy an extra.

No body lift. I'm chaulking it up to crappy Omix boots. Mine has no "baffles" like my Transfer Case shifter boot so it just tears over time since it doesn't have much give. Thanks for the idea...off to the aftermarket I go!
