Hi, I have a T-176 Transmission that need to be rebuilt, I know where I can get the insides out of a T-177. What would I need to change to switch to my Transmission , All the gears, the input shaft and the cluster gear or just the gears? Thanks Grant

when you say "re built " do you mean the gears are broken or you just need bearings and synchronizers??

My understanding is that you can change out the internals from a 176 and a 177 - you need to be careful as not all the parts are interchangeable (cluster and main gear for instance). Take a look at the link LongHorn posted and you can see what will work between the two. The main shaft length is also different.
