Tail light Housings

One of my tail light housings is broken (thanks to some wonderful person that hit my jeep in a parking lot and left) The other one I can't get the tail light to come on. (haven't had much time to dig into the wiring) I am thinking about getting LED tail lights as a replacement since I need a new one. Any recommendations for lights? I would like to keep the original housing style (Don’t care for the flush mount look)

I installed a pair of led tail and brake lights from 4wd. They are the Truck Lite brand. Looks like original, easy to install and very bright. Did not have to change turn signal flasher either. Works great.

Pretty dang salty, especially for an Omix-ada brand product. Running 12ga. ground wires from the battery back to the light housing is a cheap way to brighten up your lights some. I would think you could also convert the guts of the light to LED much cheaper too. Just some thoughts.

If you have a OTR truck stop/repair shop near you I have found that they sell Truck Lite and Grote products much cheaper than the mail order house.

If you need a tail light housing let me know I have a spare pair and will let you have one.

One thing to consider is if your state requires having your license plate lit up at night. Since the LED will not shine down on it, you need to make sure you keep the original bulb intact (if its separate from the tail light) or install one that will shine down on the plate.
This is assuming your plate is still under the tail light housing at all, of course...

I checked the T/A and they didn't have any I was a bit shocked by that. My cousin owns a truck dealership I may give him a call
