Hey guys. '76 CJ5 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l

After the stainless fan ate my radiator, i put a new radiator in (thank you Ken Miracle) and a set of shrouded twin fans(pushers). Reserve coolant bottle too.

Fans are relayed straight with no thermister switch yet, using a manual switch. New alternator.

Ive been driving her around town in 100 degree weather, no problems at all.

I went to work the other night and drove 40 mi. in 70 degree weather and noticed to temp gauge was in the upper 3/4 range. Around town she stays at exactly half.

So, she runs hotter at a higher rpm range even though its 30 degrees cooler outside?

Gonna replace thermostat, dont know the age of the old one or the pump.

Any ideas? Thanks guys....

Pusher fans do not work as well as pullers because they block a large area of the radiator that would be receiving air flow while driving. A pusher fan works great for low speed rock crawling or being stopped because it forces the air through when there is very little flow from speed. You need to put your fans on the inside for daily driving.

Well :dung:. Never installed pushers before.

And they look so cool up front too.

I appreciate it bud.
