Temp. Sensor?

I put in a new temperature sensor and the gauge is reading hot after about 2 min of it running. What would cause this? Could it be the gauge going out or something else. Thanks.

Yeah, it could be. I recently purchased a new Autometer oil pressure gauge and it was reading 60 p.s.i. which is a bit much for an old AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . You could contact customer service for whoever made the unit, like I had to.
