The disappearing coolant?

I have 2000 GMC 1500 and once a month I have to put a gallon of coolant into it its not leaking that I can tell, it's not in the oil, I replaced all the hoses and checked the radiator it's self and now I'm lost where is it going? Any clues?

You could have a bad head gasket or head and it is going out the exhaust. I would recommend doing a compression check.

I had a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l that had a cracked intake manifold gasket. Never saw a drop of fluid on the concrete always running low on coolant, but I always smelled a sweet smell everytime I walked by the front

Check your spark plugs if you have a bad head or gasket one should be very clean
