Vehicle(s)
1979 Jeep CJ7 TH400 Automatic 258 I6 Quadratrac Amc 20 rear & Dana 30 front, 32 x 11.5 x 15 tires. Currently a Complete Custom Rebuild in progress.

Also I own a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, White, all stock with 4.0L. automatic, and police package. Best part of that is it came with leather seats! This package also has the NP242 Transfer Case, 8.25 rear end, and trailer towing package.
Last night like I always do, I surfed through Craig's List for Jeep CJ stuff. Found this, and knew I had to post the picture! :chug:

What do you think? Should HH buy it!

We get to spend his money on a 7?!?!

Somehow, I doubt it. :)

Probably - But it's a scrambler-short with silly pretty seats. I prefer a CJ with a direct connection to the past and that is a CJ5 . ....... It is pretty though and it's got a great name.

Disclaimer - I am mostly kidding about the CJ7 being a Scrambler-short. ..... Mostly, but not entirely. :)

My mistake. I blame Tapatalk, my eyes and this ridiculous (not)smart phone.

Buddy had a 5 in college - he's to blame for my illness.... I love the look of a 5, but suffering from Bulbousassidocis I find it difficult to drag my rear over the doorway hump. 7's fit my affliction better. The one above looks very nice, but I might tone the seats down just a smudge.

Should we start a petition to make Hedgehog get it???? LOL

:) I'm big and fat, but after doing a fender notch to bring the seats back a few inches and working out an agreement with the steering wheel I can fit in my CJ, not sedan loose. but I fit. There's something about jumping the hump that feels so right to me. But honestly the "7" looks better to me than it once did. ..... come to think of it, I've never been in a CJ7 .

:)....... come to think of it, I've never been in a CJ7 .

Careful, now.... That may be a hurdle you may regret crossing. What has been sat in cannot be unsat in....... Or, something like that LOL

 Hey, how much do they want for that thing?

No price listed - says they're considering selling and looking for price point info....... Here's the ad.....

Jeep CJ7

Not sure about anyone else but, ad starts all positive and ends with the "don't expect much because it's a rust bucket with upgraded seats" feeling. Maybe it's just me... I'd go $2500

Interesting add. Started off with lots of the right upgrades, ended with a downer warning about rust. Very odd.

:) ..... come to think of it, I've never been in a CJ7 .

Should try it some time. It's like being in a limo...

My seat can slide back & I can fit a couple of tools in the back - WOOHOO!!! Won't hold 4 spare tires like in an old Ford Galaxy but pretty darn close.

The CJ7 fixed all of the mistakes, that the '5' had. :poke:

Yeah, it is easier to get in with a dress on, I'll give you that. Nice padded seats, car doors, a padded dash, heat, air conditioning, room for groceries and a nice mall trip with packages is always an option. I wonder if anyone ever threw in a load of hay, grain or seeds for the planter in a CJ7 or pulled a manure spreader ...... Well of course someone has, somewhere.

Disclaimer: Way back when, the dress thing was right out of a Jeep sales mans mouth.

Before aggression begins, please read the disclaimer, I swear it's true.

Lol that's awesome, maybe I should add a planter box on my dash and grow some wheat grass

Maybe a few scented candles and some incense might be nice. I couldn't appreciate those things in my open top CJ5 , but in a nice buttoned up, air conditioned CJ7 it might be nice to sink down in those nice plush seats while enjoying the stereophonic music. Just stick the automatic Transmission in drive and go be the rugged outdoorsman you always wanted to be.

Disclaimer: Guys, this is an over the top joke about the comforts of a CJ7 . I know the CJ7 is just as tough and only slightly longer than a CJ5 .

The '7', is the adults CJ.
