What a great race - and sounds like you have had good times racing.

I used to deal with Interscope racing (before the Whitting Bros ended up in jail! (drug trafficking))

The speeds these cars attain are unreal!

My grandfather owned several garages in Cincinnati, My mother grew up being taken to all kinds of racing, including a yearly trip to the Brickyard.She was a huge race fan and took us to any form of racing there was. My wife complains that if it has wheels, I will watch it race. However even though I will watch super speedway type of racing, roadracing is my favorite, that and 1/4 mile tracks ( I grew up working on cars for 1/4 mile tracks in Lousianna, Forrest Hill speedway) I love the smell of fuel, not gas but fuel being burnt. I guess I just always loved to wrench and watch motorsports. Funny my only form of driving it has been go slow Jeeping.

Man that one with the engine fire and they kept telling the guy to stay out stay out, I was like WTF he's on fire and can't see though the smoke.

On a side note would you believe one of the times I've driven the fastest was on a go-kart, I topped out at over 90mph confirmed est. at over 100mph.
The front of the kart started to float and I could actually move the wheel and not move side to side. Talking about the edge of the envelope just a hair more of a wind gust and poof I'd have been a memory.

I had considered trying to break the land speed record for a VW bug, but noone is ever interested in getting involved.
