So I bit the bullet and bought front and rear bumper from their site. There was an unforseen delay, but they showed up Wednesday. I cleaned, primed, and painted them and have installed the rear already. The plan tomorrow is to install the front one. Overall I'm very happy with the build quality and what you get for the money.

The rear is setup for dual Jerry cans and my hi lift.

Robert is a good guy. His shop is about 25 miles from me. He makes some darn nice stuff :chug:

What size tires can it safely hold. Will it handle 35".

That would do. It's a close match to the front bumper I bought for the build. Thanks.

Very nice looking bumpers. Been working up plans to do something very similar, tire, jack, jerry cans, rack, receiver, recovery points, maybe rear winch. I'm beginning to wonder if the attachment point on the actual frame or if the frame end itself might be the limiting factor on how much weight that can be hung off the back. Any thoughts

On the back it attaches to the original 8 bolts that came with the factory bumper, put over the rear perch for both springs. Up front it mounts to the original two bolts up top and again to the front perch forward bolt.

Problem ..... the original cross member is fairly thin stamped sheet metal.

Much welding and modification has been done on the frame around the rear spring mount. Right now it looks like much ugliness to bring reasonably back to spec. The cross member on mine was removed long ago, I have a reproduction version that is much thicker metal. It will be reinforced before installation.

Sorry wasn't trying to change the subject. You and I are or will be doing a very same project and your post got me to thinking. I like what I've seen of your install.
