I work on an Army base that employs mostly all civilians.
I found out today that the base has decided to crack down on seatbelt use and cell phones, so they called in a helicopter to scope out the vehicles...I guess thats not so bad, really.
But what got my temper flaring was the Wildlife Management officer giving out tickets to people who
1) are in the main working areas (not out in the wildlife areas), in a parking lot, with the engine running for the A/C.
2) Not driving anywhere, just sitting waiting on another co-worker to get supplies.
3) or having just pulled up and the passenger is taking her seatbelt off as the driver is putting the truck in 'park'.
Whats next, getting a ticket as you enter a truck, before you get settled and have a chance of putting on a seatbelt?

, has too much free time on their hands, and needs to be fired to help reduce the deficit. In this God awful state, the police will hand you a $65 ticket for not wearing a seatbelt in a 3/4 ton quad cab diesel pickup truck. And while you're on the side of the road, 20 Harleys can come whizzing by with drag pipes so loud they hurt your ears, and not a one wearing a helmet. W T F!!!!!!
