So since my build thread is still inop, had to post a little something. So I grabbed 5 original chrome wheels for cheap, $AMC 150 back in the fall last year. So finally sent out a test rim to Cali to see how it would come back rechromed. Dang! Love it, gonna cost me some serious coin to do the 4 remaining, but original wheels in great shape!!

The price and patience to find rims with original chrome intact is a lot. I had a line on 4 really really good shape ones, but I haggled a little too much and lost them. So think I may just go this route a couple rims at a time. A decent amount pricier, but they come back basically brand new.

Im not a huge chrome fan, but that on came out GREAT! Freshly chromed wheels will DEFINATE pop. Looking forward to the finished look.

Shum, I kind of feel the same way. I’m stuck between the Laredo look, chrome rims, chrome front bumper, and the chrome/stainless grill which was what my first Jeep was and just a clean color matched set up.
What I do know is that I don’t care for the chrome accessory set up, hinges/hardware but makes painting and assembly much more labor intensive. Especially if you want to paint under the hinges and latches, then paint those pieces and fasteners.
