Hey Guys,

I have a muffler that emiits almost zero noise. I would like to hear a little somthing and this muffler is not too pricey at all. But does it sound decent with the I6?

Typically turbo muffs are the quietest so that may not be much of an improvement for you.

Oh... well, i don't want loud, just a nice rumble. But this OEM muffler makes it as silent as a Prius.

I really like my Flowmaster 40 series.

There you go, a flowmaster 40 will give you probably close to a V8 rumble with your straight six.

what about the 50 series Flowmaster?

That'll work.

What you want is a chambered muffler to get that rumble.

Go to on youtube and search for jeeps with flowmasters. There are plenty of videos of people showing off the sound of their jeeps. That might give you a better idea of what you are looking for. I run a series 40 flowmaster on my six and love the sound.:D

I run the Thrush Supper Hush Turbo Mufflers on my V-8. They have a nice rumble to them.

And a nice rap on deceleration.

I have this vid from u-tube, but keep in mind only as good as the i-phone recorded the sound. And this is with V-8 and Hooker Super Comp tuned headers.

But man what a difference from Cherry bomb glass -packs... those were loud!

By the way, pay no attention to the bald man trying to find the right line with his jeep... (me) ;)

EDIT: And sorry about the power steering squeal

I used a clifford split header and my local muffler shop used duel flow master 60's with 2" exhaust. It really sounds hearty during heavy acceleration however is very manageable in 4th gear driving at highway speed.

Hope this helps.

Nice vid... Tighten up or replace that power steering belt... ;)

I know... Thought about that after posting... Hate that sound! I think my power steering pump is out of alignment... I've tried messing with / tightening etc...

wow, I like the way your jeep sounds. Of course I don't have headers or the v8.. so mine will not sound that good.
