Fellows and gals, it's been a great ride. With the full knowledge that I will regret this decision for a long time, I put the ole CJ7 up for sale today. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on it, driving it, and just sitting back and looking at it. The places we like to go are just too far away, and trailering it there became more of a hassle than either of us wanted to continue.
So, now, I'm in the market for a new Wrangler, hoping the creature comforts will outweigh the plastic decor, and let us two old fogeys continue to hit some backroads and keep on jeepin.

Say it ain't so Ken, say it ain't so!!! You got it all backward. You gotta keep the jeep and sell the house :D.

Wow, now that is something -

sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. good luck :chug:

I always liked the look of that CJ7 Ken. Sorry to see you have to let it go. Wish it was closer.

Well, it's not gone yet. Since we didn't want to have to make payments, we 'borrowed' from a fund we had started several years ago fpr a truck replacement, which will probably never happen. We'll reimburse the fund when the CJ sells. So far, no potential buyers. Think I may have set the price a little high :D:D.

Here's the JK vs the CJ.

Ive found the price of a solid Cj like yours has gone up a bit. Most of the decent ones are around $5000 - $6000.

Yeah, I think your price range is more realistic. Mine has some sentimental value included, but that's not worth much to a buyer. I'm slowly getting my mind wrapped around actually selling it, but it's like selling one of the family. I do have some in-laws I'd part with cheap though.
