I've managed to get everything off and im down to the timing chain. But i am worried about taking it off. My question is, what is the best way to take off the chain and not mess up the timing. Do i just removed the bolt thats holding the large pully? By removing the large bolt does that release any tension? Removing the bolt does it mess with anything else? thanks in advance!

Set piston #1 to TDC. There will be alignment marks on the timing sprockets. These marks should aline. You can then take off the timing set and if you get the marks alined again you can be sure you have it back together correctly.

Does the bolt thats holding up the big pully have any affect on anything? Also how noticable are the marks because i tried looking for some but didnt really see any. Thanks

First set the first cylinder to TDC. It should be easier to see the marks. They should aline then.
Here is where I think I see the marks.

The big sprocket (cam) turns half as fast as the small sprocket (crank shaft). So i think they will align when you are at TDC.

Great i will try later today after work. Thanks for your help.:chug:
