Tire rub on sway bar

Tire rub on sway bar
I didn't 'lift' the gas-I push'd it down to stay straight till I could pull over and change the tire(and my underwear :D).

This is a bit off topic, but I wish more folks on the road knew to push the accelerator to gain control of the vehicle after a tire blowout. That is all.

I purchased this one, will use quick disconnects when i install it.

:)
With the right loose suspension for off road the sway bar & disconnects are almost a must on the street to limit body roll..........if you already have a stiff suspension the sway bar & disconnects are of little value.

Your new factory sway bar will have to be slightly modified to use any disconnect........first the original links have to be cut off and the tapered holes at one end drilled out.

JKS Disconnects , the best I have seen....stainless parts , no rust easy to disconnect or connect on the trail. Check these out I think I still have an extra new set left over from another project.......PM me if interested.

I installed the correct sway bar and end links with new bushings today, all went well. Its amazing what some people will do, all the bolts the PO used on the frame mounts were 1/2 too long so he used washers to space them up to the threads. Don't' know where he got that sway bar but was not even close to the stock unit.
Thanks everyone for helping me identify my problem, now I can turn the wheel full travel in both directions with no rubbing.

Best of news. :chug:

Good to hear, stories of what the p.o. did continue to come up. Better look and see what else you can find. Wiring modifications are also quite common.
