Can get cost on firestone destination mud. Ive heard good about mt bajas and mixed sidewall reviews on km2's. i dont really do any mudding so intercos are probably not best. Any thoughts? Im downsizing from 35's to 33's

More trailriding than street

I like the Goodyear MTR's myself. Usually you get a wide variety of answers for tire opinions. I wanted to try out the Baja MTZ's as well but they seem to be getting a bit pricey. Old Dog has them on his Cj and it sees mainly trails as well.

I got 55k miles out of my fire stone destinations mts and 67k out of my destination ats all with proper 4 tire rotation. I would recomend firestone tires anyday now. They are much better than their former wilderness.

Firestone friend quoted 255 mounted and balanced. This seems to be the way to go money wise

Ordered them. Im waiting to sell 35's though.

I'm a little late as you already ordered the Firestones. I don't know anyone running them so I can't say anything good or bad about them.
I've had my MTZ's for 7 years now and they have been a good tire both on and off road. Their only down fall is that they are not good in heavy mud but they do well in the rocks.
Since I got my Claws the mtz's have become my road tires. The claws suck on the road.

I'm eventually going to 31s on my Jeep. I had always planned on BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs but after putting Firestone Destination ATs on my Expedition I'm hard pressed not to go that route on my Jeep as well. That says nothing about the BFs at all - great tires but these Destinations are quiet, handle well, and trail well on dry to moist dirt. But like oil, religion and politics, everybody has an opinion based on their experience.

Now gears and locker😢

It's good to hear a good thing about Firestone Tires. I had Wilderness tires on my bronco and they were the worst tires in the world for me. The problem was they had a decent warrentee, so when a belt slipped for $18 they would put on a new tire. In 10 years I had 18 tires put on. It is funny that one tire was GREAT, the darned thing never went bad and had to pay full price to replace it. The situation got so I'd loose a tire on every hunting trip and I don't abuse my tires at all. Finally got sick of the constant tire trading and got a set of Lorado's, considered to be second rate tires by Firestone, 5 years later, without a single tire failure, I bought another set. After all that griping it is good to hear Firestone is making a decent tire again.
