Need a top of some sort for my 79 CJ5 rebuild. Looking for cheap soft tops. Whats reliable whats not. Educate me please. So far best I can do is the morris site. If any of you veterans out there got ideas of any kind they'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have an '81 CJ7 . My first Bestop chafed through on the forward corners and then the saga started. The replacement had a bad bow, the new bow was shipped to the wrong address and when it was received it was bent. Now that I have the bows the rear bar will not work properly and the rear window is coming un-stitched. Can you say Customer Service?
I guess that if you get a good one to start with all is well but getting warranty replacements has been a bugger for me.

Did you order straight through best top or was it customer service from morris? Morris is the cheapest thing I can find right now. The bestop tigertop I think is the route I might have to go for my budget.

I bought mine from 4 Wheel Parts. I may simply just be having isolated issues but I wanted to give you a "heads up".
