Transfer Case shift ball?

I recently purchased a 4 speed black hurst shift ball for my 1980 CJ7 for $25. I have been looking into getting a matching ball for my Transfer Case (Dana 300 ) but the best price I can find is $50 plus shipping.

Is there a better place to buy one?

Have you got a 4 speed Transfer Case .....

Custom balls are expensive. My dad was a truck driver and when he pased away I found a box with his favorite shift balls. This started me looking at shift balls and adaptors. Interestingly enough there were no combinations that I could use so I ended up making my own. It seems like there should be used balls as common as Hurst out there somewhere for cheap.

So you want a customized Hurst ball. $50 doesn't seem like a bad price to me. There are probably hurst like balls with your pattern on it though.

I figured as much though I thought I would get some feedback. I had a similar situation regarding another part and a user was able to save me nearly half from knowing a whole sale distributor.

Occasionally we do get that lucky and it doesn't hurt to ask. I've got a sparkly green ball (olser than I am) and would like to get some smaller ones for my Twin Sticks, but to dump $100 fo something cool isn't in the cards right now.

I've thought about a couple motorcycle pitons I've got that fit in your hand perfect, could be turned into knobs real easy. I thought about welding them at an angle to the conrods and using the whole thing but haven't foundthe right project yet.
