I get my CJ running again, and the Transmission cooling line springs a big leak.

its leaking on the flex line, right where it hooks up to the radiator fitting. Its leaking right on the funky coupler that allows the hex AN fitting to rotate within the rubber flex line until you tighten the clamp.

I might add this is on a 78 AMC 304 V8 with GM Turbo 400 auto, I can't find anyone who carries a replacement line for this and I'm currently not in a position to install an auxillary cooler, so I'm not sure what to do at this point.

First off Welcome to the site. :chug:

I kinda know what what you are talking about but I would have to see a picture of what the the hose looks like and the end going into the cooler.

I have only dealt with the manual Transmission and they dont have coolers. I have done some repairs on different vehicles that have Transmission coolers in them. Just need picture to give you some ideas.

I am sure that some of the other guys here might have better idea on this due to them having autos in them.

thanks for trying to help, but I was able to fix it. ORiellys had a 90* brass fitting to hose barb that fit the radiator perfectly, so I was about to swap out the fittings and use new hose.

Great to hear that you were able engineer your way to a fix! CJ's need that kind of determination! :)
