I never opened it up, but I would bet it's a 2.73.
I also had one of your favorite Rear ends, that known beast of the Jeep world the AMC model 20.
It's the mate to the Dana 30 .

If he has to change out the R&P he may as well have the one he has rebuilt. If he didn't have a Dana 44 in the back end now then what you have would be cool. Hell RSAN21 mite even like the 2.73, sure would help the milage.

I know when I got the Jeep running it had 35" on it & I had to slip the clutch to get it rolling.
