For those that have used a tub liner such as Rhino or Herc have you noticed much of a reduction of heat back up through the floor ??

My floor gets very warm to touch not an instant skin burn but more then enough that in summer make you raise a sweat

I have had to put carpet back in it but really hate carpet for a trail jeep and was thinking if the a tub liner also reduces heat then it could be a great option:chug:

If you want to reduce heat you want to use Lizard skin not bed liner.

I looked it up, it looks like a two stage process.. first stage is a ceramic coating on the floors to reflect the heat, and the second stage is a sound deadening spray liner over the ceramic. you can use them together or seperately, and it comes in a kit with a spray gun and you can use shop air. Looks a little pricey, but it probably works pretty well. It's used in a lot of street rods that I've seen, I had just never heard the brand name.

Have you used Lizard skin ?? It did come up in my searches but seems that you have to then coat with a bed liner over the top for any sort of durability so seems expensive approach and a lot of work

I myself have not used it but I watch Power block on TV every weekend and have seen them use it. The just used it on a Ranger pu they are building to race. It's a Mustang in Ranger colthing. What they did was sprayed it on the underside of the cab and then just spray painted over it with black from rattel cans.

i have roll on bed liner i put in mine and it didnt change the temp of the floor at all.

I would find why my floors were getting so hot and treat the problem, not the symptom. If it is an exhaust thing then you need some heat shields. It would be a lot more cost effective. Treating a symptom makes no sense, the problem is still there.
