turn indicator problems

Standard issue part, readily available for pretty cheap. I think 4WD hardware might even sell them. Use the link at the top of the page to buy!

chuck, thanks for the autozone starter switch thought! $13.00 is a great price and because mine acts up; i'll try getting one today.
goofy switch needs to be released, slightly, to allow the engine to start!
starter will grind away until you release the key! ever heard of this?
again, thanks for the autozone idea.. radman
Radman, yes I have heard of it, and going to autozone is the solution, or advanced or any other place that sells new ones since the unit is pressed together and there are no serviceable parts. It is either your return spring onside or the contacts have become corroded and "snagging" the switch. They are marked on the back as to which wire goes where, and depending on how easy it is to get to, after disconnecting the battery it took me a whopping five minutes to replace.

hey all, replaced switch with a four post standard (brand name) switch.
works perfectly and now i can feel good about taking this cj out and roughing
it up! thanks for all the great help and advise!!! radman

great informative site.. thanks....radman

In the immortal words of Apu ("Thank You, Come Again."):D

so how long did it take you to switch it out?

no more than about 5 minutes! already had dash down to replace glove box and wiper indicator. radman

I know it's a little off topic, but this is a cool zero cost mod. for board Jeepers.;)Turn Signal Mods.jpg
