Near jeep virgin. Dad had a 57 CJ5 but my wife spun a rod bearing and he sold it. A bit too small for me anyway. Wanted to replace it ever since he passed . So I did.
Bought the TP6a in Utah and it really looks like it has never seen a salted road.
I put her in the guest house for the winter just to protect till I get the underbody and floor sealed.
Mostly stock from what I have gathered over the last 8 months but the po's did some cheeep grades. Mirrors, pass side gas tank, interesting saginaw PS - above the frame and leaks like a bugger, boxed a bit of the frame, a couple gages, and whacked the dash for a radio. The wiring all works but looks to be kind of a mess.
Still don't know how to correctly ID axles, tranny, and Transfer Case .
Big question for this thread is one of Stock vs Mods.
Is there really a big issue in overall value for complete stock vehicles.
Afterall she ain't a Pierce Arrow or a REO, eh?
