UA 2013 - Day 5 - Drive Up The East Coast
Our last road day was also our longest road day, over 600 miles. Shortly into the drive, Rick led the group onto Daytona Beach.Our last road day was also our longest road day, over 600 miles. Shortly into the drive, our fearless leader and Editor-In-Chief, Rick Pewe led the group onto the silky smooth sand of Daytona Beach. We stayed just long enough to take a couple pictures and then it was back on the road, across a Ferry, and up the coast to South Carolina. Rigs were dropping like flies with problems, at one point nearly half the group was down making road-side repairs. After nearly 16 hours on the road the majority of the group made it to the hotel near Waterloo, NC. Although some did not make it to the hotel until 5:00 the next morning!
