Aren't those short front fenders? If so it would make it a pre-'72 CJ5 , no? Regardless, the ad says "Runs and drives good 4wd works". For $600 I'd buy it if it can be registered and driven on the street. Imagine pulling up to the driveup window in a rig that ugly. A true babe magnet!

Its so ugly that I think it looks awesome. But bad news is I called the guy and he said the body is basically rusted all out and some form of 1/4 in plate has been used to create some form of "exoskeleton" he called is..No idea what that exactly means. He said the frame is good and it runs fine. If he tells me that the body is rusted badly I an only imagine how truly awful it is. If the body was in even decent shape I would probably go get it tomorrow.

Short nose says 55-71, early-model grille says 55-71, gas in the back says 70-on, top-mount wipers generally pre-69 but some up to '71 were known to have them (could also have been swapped).

My bet is a '70 or '71.

Features are identical to my '69 except mine has gas in the cab. Gas in the back was phased in part-way through the '70 model year.

I'll buy the roll bar from whoever buys it!

I lived in Biloxi for 40 years and made my way up to Lucdale occasionally. I wouldn't trust anyone there. Just kidding :). It sure is rough.

Battery box cover on cowl sez early .Small park lights in grille early .50's or early 60's

Any good pictures of this "exoskeleton"? Im curious as I have never seen such a thing. And Im still considering going to get this thing..
No pics, and the "storm of the century" is starting so I'm not venturing outdoors for awhile. But I define it as a bunch of panels that have been screwed or welded to the body to cover rust holes or other damage. Like the exoskeleton on a bug.
