They're in the mail. I'm pretty excited for this and I think I can do it myself. Has anyone done it before? And pointers before I dive in?

Does this kit include new master cyl and proportioning valve?

At what location do you weld the caliper bracket onto the axle?
Tip,
Mount the caliper and bracket onto the disc. Apply compressed air to the caliper to push the pads against the disc, your caliper bracket is now in the correct position to be welded.

No M/C or p'valve.
Are you run'n 1 piece axles?

My CJ5 already came with disc brakes on but my rear bracket is bent. If you don't mind me asking, where did ou get the kit? What do the brackets look like? And what size are the rotors? Thanks

the biggest thing is to get a proportioning valve that you can adjust to put in line with the rear brakes, that way you can make sure they will not lock up before the fronts do. If they do it swings the jeep in circles.

Also, the way the hydraulics work is a bit different between drums and disc brakes, it is all about residual pressure on the system. I had to dig a small valve out of my master cylinder when O swapped over to rear disc.
