I have a 67 CJ5 and I need to find the vacuum heater controls. All of the newer jeeps seem to use normal switches. I can't find anything online. Does anyone have an idea where I should be looking? I searched the forums to try to limit a repeat question, but I haven't seen a heater post with a CJ5 this old.

I think they look like this:

Did you ever find parts or a replacement for your controls? I am kinda of going through mine and looking at a possible change.

I have a 67
good luck
I had to disconnect mine just to get it to turn off and now am looking to see how I can set it up tp work with manual cable controls
a lot of the problem is they do not make parts for them anymore and it seems most are not factory anyway so who knows where to get parts?

Are you looking for that control as the picture shows????
They come on e-bay from time to time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the vacuum pods on the sheet metal air boxes are also tough to find.
On the control panel AW wreckers in Antelope,CA. had some used ones a while back.

Slope,

On E-bay right now listing # 330731390251 that control and other parts.

Still looking. I've bid on a few on Ebay, but I got out bid in the last few minutes of the auction.

There is one on there right now as a "buy it Now" for $75 Auction #290713851713

The fan knob looks a bit different, but it appears to be the same otherwise. Why does a 1970 have a larger knob? I don't have my books around to check compability.

Normally there was a long thin knob..........and that one may have been replaced.......but then again I can't say I've ever seen a 1970's version so maybe they did get changed as time went on............... I think about 1972 when AMC took over that whole heater system changed............always a surprise with Jeep stuff over the years
