Valve Cover?

OK I am looking for a stock valve cover for my 258ci six. Not having any luck though. If I do buy an aftermarket which I don't want to how does one mount the triangle bracket or what do yo use for the stock air filter with power brakes?

1980 CJ7 with the straight 6 and power brakes.

Is it the engine the CJ left the factory with?
The VC split(IIRC)is 1981.

I've Got an extra stock valve cover off an 84. You can find them on eBay pretty cheap too.

OK I need an explanation of what the difference is after 1980 and before 1980?
Many of the websites I go to all cross dates. So is the difference more than the three holes for the air cleaner?

OK I now see the 1980 and down have curves around the spark plugs and a place for the air filter. Up is straight.
Wondering then why so many vendors have years that cross.
This is just an example there are plenty out there.

This picture is curved and looks like 1980 and down but you can see the yrs listed.

Found a used one n ebay this morning for only $45.00. A little cleaning and paint and it will be like new.

Check the base with a known straight edge to be sure it's flat.

Received my valve cover today. Looks good just surface rust. What color was the original engines in the 80 CJ7 ? Oh and the bench is a mess because I'm cleaning, never did figure that part out. LOL! It's sitting on the new to me heater box.
